Ah, the epic battle between television and radio. Before starting my course at Westminster, I didn’t have any experience with radio production–I was strictly a TV kind of gal. But I’ve learned to really enjoy the art of making radio features (though I still prefer television…). Now, I’m able to use the Marantz to record, and Adobe Audition, Cool Edit Pro, and Audacity to edit.
Here are some of the radio programs I produced since October 2009:
“The Facebook Phenomenon”: April, 2010
Since recently surpassing Google as the number one website, it’s hard to ignore the impact that Facebook has on our modern-day culture. So I investigated why Facebook has become so popular, and who some of its 400 million users are.
The Complaints Choir: March, 2010
It might not be so enjoyable to hear people complain. But the Birmingham Complaints Choir has turned whinging into songs, as countries around the world are increasinly joining the fashion. This short radio feature was produced by Pichayada Promchertchoo and I, and is narrated by Pichayada. Click here to listen!
“Disco Health Club”: December, 2009
What do you get when you combine aerobics with disco music? Disco Health Club! This London club is putting a new, and healthy, twist on clubbing. This short radio feature was produced by Pichayada Promchertchoo and I, and is narrated by Pichayada.Take a listen on her website.
